JME

Skepta charmed PopMesse two years ago, now comes the time of his younger brother.

JME, however, is much more than a relative of a famous star; the forty-year-old Jamie Adenuga aka JME helped build the grime scene from the beginning, started a defining label Boy Better Know and was a part of the now legendary Meridian Crew and Roll Deep. Simultaneously he managed to graduate from 3D digital design. His albums Famous?, Integrity> or Grime MC belong into the genre’s golden fond same as the hard-hitting hits Serious, 96 Fuckeris or Man Don’t Care. The last-named track stood behind the comeback of the raw branch of grime halfway through the last decade. “The music originated and will always remain in the streets,” JME raps in it. Recently he appeared as a feature on Smack and P Money’s collaborative album Champions League.
