Two of the biggest names of the British DJ scene will play a back-2-back at PopMesse.
Leon Vynehall and Batu have a lot in common – they’ve both been a part of the scene for over a decade and they both cross between the borders of genres from bass music all the way to techno and house. Vynehall has released under Ninja Tune, the album Nothing Is Still which mixes house and ambient is a worthy mention. He recorded mixes for the cult series Fabric and DJ-Kicks and had his own broadcast on BBC Radio 1. He remixed The Avalanches or Midland and has travelled the whole world with his music. Batu is the founder of the Bristol based label Timedance where he debuted with the album Opal in 2022. He has also released under XL Recordings or Hessle Audio. He made it onto yearly lists of the best mixes by the likes of The Guardian, was listed among the best 20 DJs by Mixmag and was also given the chance to record his own BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Together they will embark on an adventurous journey through contemporary nooks and crannies of club music.
