They mix complex rhythms with harmonies which sound as if they were coming from a church, known sounds from the past mutate into the unpredictable sound of new millennium. They first let the public know about themselves in 2010 when, still named The Uniques, they released the From the Dust EP which won them a Radio_Head Award. As Nvmeri, they debuted in 2013 on an eponymous album which referenced 70s and 80s pop music whilst deconstructing the retro approach both musically and compositionally. The following record I Don’t Think So catapulted the band into the position of a household name of Slovak alternative scene – they played all over Europe including festivals such as Eurosonic. At the same time, the solo career of the singer and guitarist Pišta Kráľovič AKA FVLCRVM started, slowing down the progress of the band. Kráľovič, Pavel Javorník and Miro Tuchyňa, however, regularly return to stages and their most recent record is the single Superpowers which proves that the trio’s chemistry still works.
