The English electronic duo follows up on 90s rave as well as the tradition of British rap.
Their tracks sound as if New Order, Underworld and The Streets met at a crazy warehouse rave. Kevin Lee Kharas on the mic poetically recaps the sleepless nights – the euphoria and the following aftereffects – and, alongside the club ecstasy, leaves space for home quarters of northern London in Real Lies’ compositions. They debuted as a three-piece with an eponymous album in 2015, the following album Lad Ash was listed as one of that year’s best by The Quietus. In Brno, Real Lies will introduce their new promisingly named album We Will Annihilate Our Enemies.
