Using the examples of large buildings in Prague and Brno, we will see what functions and metrics can have a positive impact on the cultural development of cities? Conversely, what limits do we encounter with such projects ? What are the differences in expectations when it is a public or private contract ? And what is the role of the location of the building in the city? Do current urban challenges such as housing crises or climate change figure in?
